The President of the Independent Oversight Board for the Civil Service of Kosovo, Mr. Jeton Koca, together with the members of the Board, Mrs. Ardita Haxhnikaj-Demi and Mr. Arben Mehmeti, visited the Office of the Commissioner for Civil Service Monitoring in the Republic of Albania.
The Kosovo delegation was welcomed by the management of the Office of the Commissioner led by Mrs. Pranvera Strakosha – Commissioner for Civil Service Monitoring in the Republic of Albania.
The agenda of this meeting was focused on the continuation of cooperation and the exchange of best practices between the two countries in the field of implementation of the legislation on civil service, and, in view of this, the parties finalized the cooperation agreement for joint activities which is expected to be signed in the following days.
During the meeting, the President of the Board, Mr. Koca, highlighted the importance of monitoring the implementation of the law on the administration of civil service as one of the main objectives in the implementation of the activities of the two institutions, expressing determination to guarantee the implementation of the law by the relevant institutions, for an administration of the civil service which is based on the principle of equal opportunities, non-discrimination, merit, transparency, professionalism and political impartiality.
Further, Mrs. Pranvera Strakosha, Commissioner for Civil Service Monitoring in the Republic of Albania, emphasized the need for cooperation between the two authorities by expressing willingness and determination to cooperate and contribute to the achievement of the goals of this agreement in order to fulfil the undertaken commitment.
Convinced that this agreement will strengthen the relations between the counterparts, the parties agreed to intensify joint activities in the implementation of the targeted goals.
