Biography
Mr. Jeton Koca was born on February 28, 1987, in Polac, Skenderaj.
He was appointed as a member of the Independent Oversight Committee for the Civil Service of Kosovo on October 8, 2020, by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
From December 23, 2021, to December 23, 2023 (a regular two-year term), he served as the chairperson of the Independent Oversight Committee for the Civil Service of Kosovo.
Mr. Koca began his professional career initially in the Kosovo Assembly and later at the Office of the Ombudsperson, before serving for more than ten years as a Legal Affairs Instructor and Human Resources Manager at the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety. During the period 2010-2020, he led the staff and participated in drafting legal acts and development policies for the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety. He was a member of the Working Group and the leader of the Human Resources component in a European Commission-funded project aimed at establishing the Faculty of Public Safety as part of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety.
He was involved in the local and international accreditation process of the Kosovo Academy for Public Safety and was recognized with appreciation by the European Commission and ICITAP for his contributions.
For his continuous dedication, in 2016, he was named an outstanding worker and awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Ministry of Public Administration.
Mr. Koca has completed the Instructor Certification Program and other training on human resources management and auditing, legislation, and administrative justice.
In 2019, he completed a professional course at the Police School and Command Staff organized by Northwestern University – Center for Public Safety, USA.
Mr. Koca completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Prishtina, in 2008, and was a recipient of a university scholarship. In 2014, he completed his master’s studies in the Legal-Civil field at the Faculty of Law, University of Prishtina. During his studies, he participated in all clinical programs organized by the Faculty of Law, supported by USAID and the ABA-Rule of Law Initiative, being recognized as an outstanding student and awarded a certificate of appreciation in the “Legal and Professional Ethics” program.
Mr. Koca passed the Bar Exam in 2017. He is a certified trainer in Human Resources, Ethics, and Integrity, as well as in Administrative Justice.
Mr. Jeton Koca is married and has two children.
