The Council monitors ministries and embassies of the Republic of Kosovo

Pristina, October 16, 2024 – As part of the ongoing monitoring process, the Independent Oversight Board for the Civil Service of Kosovo (IOBCSK) has started monitoring several institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to closely observe the implementation of legal provisions that regulate the employment relationship of civil servants.

In addition to its monitoring activities, IOBCSK has requested access to the files of civil servants to gather information on the implementation of the rules and principles of the applicable legislation for civil servants.

As part of its work, the Independent Oversight Board for the Civil Service of Kosovo continues its efforts to ensure compliance with the rules and principles that govern the civil service in the Republic of Kosovo.

So far, the Council is in the process of monitoring the following institutions of the Republic of Kosovo: the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports, the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers, the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MASHTI), the Ministry of Health (MSH), the Municipality of Gjilan, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Vienna, Austria, and the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The monitoring will continue in other institutions as well.

Furthermore, in order to assess the implementation of the rules and principles of the civil service legislation, the Council is entitled to monitor public administration institutions employing civil servants on an annual basis.
